WHY & HOW TO USE Microsoft Word NAVIGATION PANE

The Navigation Pane saves the user time by lessens scrolling time and aids moving content chunks. The longer or the more complicated the document, the more you’ll enjoy clicking and going directly to that section.

  1.  Click View.
  2.  Click the Navigation Pane box.
  3.  Click the Home screen.
  4. Highlight the heading, and assign (click) its organizational level (located in the Styles section above,  for instance:   Title, Heading 1, Heading 2, and Heading 3

Special Notes:

  • Notice the pane on the left of your screen.
  • You can re-organize a topic by just dragging the heading to the new spot.
